Off in two hours

Friday, 29 October 2010

In many European countries this will be a long weekend as Monday is Bank Holiday (All Saints).

My weekend is already packed with lovely things to do and nice friends to meet.

Today the sun is brighting up and very crisp and transparent blue sky (are we sure this sky is close to Milan and Malpensa airport?).

I will get back next week with lovely posts full cute stuff!

And what are your plans for the weekend?

Something from the past

Wednesday, 27 October 2010

Did I ever tell you that I used to be a graphic designer and illustrator?
A work that I ABSOLUTELY adored and that was all my life.

I worked for many companies and people doing almost any kind of stuff!

A collaboration with Benetton and Diesel introduced me to the world of fashion. And many male friends get me to decorate their motorbike, helmets and cars.

I made art pieces for friends instead of buying them present and it was always a success to give them something handmade from me!

here is a little selection of some of my works:

the quality of the pictures are poor as I had to scan very old pictures.

watercolour

collage

acrylics on wood board

airbrush on motorbyke helmet

acrylics

Do you like any of them?

bbbbrrrr.....
The air is getting crisp and I am starting looking for a new coat.
Lucky enough, I have a camel one from Promod which is still beautiful after the years...

I have a grey one, 50's inspired that fits me perfectly.

Then I have a sporty long black jacket, a short green/gold one. Oh, and my grandmother leather's coat from the 60's (I have to post a picture of it as it is my favourite piece in my whole wardrobe)!!!

Do you think I still need a new coat? I think I do indeed....

Here a few of my coats and winter jackets

the following in my wishlist:

Military style? definitely not my thing...

To shoes or not to shoes

Sunday, 10 October 2010

What a Saturday!

My b/f has been invited to a museum opening. The museum of coffee’s shops professional coffee makers.

Delicious cocktails and unique coffees, pastries and savoury finger food, lovely music and nice people.

As it wasn't interesting enough, we spent quite a few hours in the neighbour. The neighbour is the shoe manufacturing district, north to Milan. And incredible land of the best and most famous Italian brand of shoes.

First we head to D&G which was a great discover: the clothes were well manufacturer, the material precious and unique, all accessories handmade. Well, it seems like heaven! The shoes were real bargains!

Following, we stop at Luciano Padovan and Fratelli Rossetti.
...and I haven't bought anything... (What???!! Yes, I didn't indeed...)
I am trying to save a little bit as there is so much going on in my life right now, such as the trip to Paris (for sure I am going to make serious shopping there!), the wedding next year and hopefully a great honeymoon, plus, one of my best friend's wedding (Scotland or Tuscany).

But anyway, it was a great day! (and let me tell you that my b/f insisted to dead to buy me a pair of shoes....I wanna marry this guy asap!!!!!)
