Summer break outfits

this is a collage of my outfits during the Summer holidays. Not much fashionable, but comfy, always feminine and practical.
We headed to Prague for a friend's wedding, but stopped by Nuremberg, Germany (absolutely lovely!) following a tour on Czech Republic. Just the two of us, nothing booked, an on-the-road adventure.

Questo é un collage dei miei vestiti durante le mie vacanze estive. Non molto alla moda, ma confortevole, sempre femminile e pratica.
Siamo stati a Praga per il matrimonio di un'amica, ma prima abbiamo fatto una sosta a Norimberga (bellissima!) in Germania, per poi fare un tour della Repubblica Ceca. Solo noi due, nessuna prenotazione, una vera avventura.

Plus Size Outfit Day: Black & White

Melanie, the sweet blogger from Rubenesque, met at the FFFweek has invited me to take part of an International monthly outfit challenge called “Plus Size Outfit Day”.

The theme for this post is Black & White. Aim is to challenge ourself as well as inspire other bloggers through our styles.





This is my essemble with a very old but beloved dress. I like its shape and colour and the ¾ sleeves length. 15 kg ago I used to wear it as a dress, because IT IS a dress, whereas now, I feel more comfortable to add a pair of skinny trousers. This dress is special to me as I wear it during a night cruise on Lake of Como, on my birthday, where my boyfriend asked me to marry him (so, this is why the dress is so special).

The clutch from Accessorize, bangle is labeless and sandals from Céline.

Il tema di questo post é il Bianco e Nero e il quello che desideriamo é di essere d’ispirazione per le altre blogger con i nostri diversi stili.

Questa mia é una scelta con un vecchio ma molto amato vestito. Mi piace molto la sua forma e le maniche a tre-quarti. 15kg fa lo usavo proprio come vestito, perché é un vestito, mentre ora, mi sento più a mio agio indossandolo con un paio di pantaloni aderenti, come qui. Il vestito é un quelcosa di speciale per me in quento lo indossavo durante una crocera notturna sul lago di Como, il giorno del mio compleanno, quando il mio ragazzo mi ha chiesto di sposarlo (capite quindi cosa rappresenta per me il vestito).

La borsa é di Accessorize, il bracciale non ha marca e i sandali Céline.

to wear or not to wear

“No way I am going to wear a jumpsuit” I said a few months ago to my blogger friend Nefferth. But she insisted me to try it on. She said that the right shape and pattern could do wonder for plus size ladies.

I was rather sceptical and thinking “forget it”. Aided by the fact to be in NYC (where you can find any garment you want), I went to Forever 21 in Times Square and try a jumpsuit. Well, I was impressed on how it fit, how wonderful I felt by wearing it and most of all, comfy and stylish! The material is a bit transparent but in the most ‘intimate’ parts there is an extra pieces of material that covers your virtues. For the upper part, I wear a neutral colored bra that you want see. The pattern is pretty and nice overall.

I am wearing it with a Dorothy Perkins clutch, my Dulce Rubio sandals, La Redoute bracelet. If the evening gets a bit chill, a neutral blazer from Primark.

Sounds like I have push the boundaries of my style once more and I am happy about it! (thank you Nefferth!)








“Figuriamoci se indosso una tuta" ho detto qualche mese fa a Nefferth, la mia amica blogger. Ma lei ha insistito perchè almeno ne provassi una. Insisteva col dire che il modello e i colori giusti possono fare meraviglie anche per le donne più floride.

Ero piuttosto scettica e tra me e me pensavo "se lo scorda!". Complice del fatto di essere a New York (dove si può trovare qualsiasi indumento si desideri), sono andata da Forever 21 in Times Square e provato una tuta. Beh, sono rimasta piacevolmente colpita dal modello che mi slanciava e mi faceva una bella linea. Ma soprattutto, mi ha colpito la sua comodità! Il tessuto é un po’ trasparente ma nelle parti più intime vi è del tessuto che copre giusto le virtù. Per la parte superiore, ho indossato un reggiseno colore carne che non si notava e altresì mi nascondeva il seno. La fantasia del tessuto é carina e piacevole nell’insieme.

Qui la indosso con una borsetta di Dorothy Perkins, i miei amati sandali Dulce Rubioe un bracciale di La Redoute. Se la sera diventa un po’ frescolino, un blazer in tinta sabbia di Primark.

Ho spinto [di nuovo] i confini del mio stile un po’ più in là e ne sono proprio felice (grazie Nefferth!).

Saturday’s Bicycle Style Challenge #3

I haven’t being doing this post-serie for a while.
But here I am with the latest challenge. On Friday evening I was invited to an aperitivo in the city center but I was no willing to take my car. The temperature was fantastic, few people around as most are currently on vacation, I’ve put on this fabulous dress from LOFT, a pair of Cassis heels, my new Guess bag, a bracelet from the 80s and off I went!






Non ho pubblicato nessun post sulla sfida di stile in bici di recente.
Ma sono qui per una nuova sfida. Venerdì sera sono stata invitata ad un aperitivo in centro e per niente al mondo ci volevo andare in macchina. La temperatura era fantastica, poca gente in giro perché molti sono partiti per le ferie, mi sono infilata quest’abito di LOFT, un paio di sandali di Cassis, la mia nuova borsa di Guess, un bracciale degli anni 80 e via!
