Glacial fashion

Last Summer I'd adventured in the nordic landes of Iceland, the most incredible, mystic and rewarding time I had in my life (check here and here).

But what I want to talk about here is the eclectic style and fashion I have been sorrounded of beautiful valkyries and fashinating vikings.



In these days Reykjavik hosted the third fashion event: The Reykjavík Fashion Festival’s in fact, presents Iceland’s most provocative and skilled designers’ Fall/Winter collections on a four-day explosion of fashion design and music.

In recent years the creative industries in Iceland have been flourishing. The local market has become a melting pot of exciting new creative enterprises that are definitely willing to be known outside the country.

I would love to share with you a small selection of pieces from the interesting and unique designers that where at the festival.

La scorsa estate mi sono avventurata nelle nordiche lande d'Islanda, una terra incredibile, mistica che mi ha regalato suggestioni uniche (puoi leggerne di più qui e qui).

Ma ora non voglio parlare di quel viaggio, ma della moda e dello stile ecclettico di bellissime valchirie e affascinanti vichinghi.

In questi giorni Reykjavík ha ospitato per il terzo anno, il Reykjavík Fashion Festival: un evento moda per presentare lo stile provocatorio e unico islandese attraverso le collezioni Autunno/Inverno in un quattro giorni di moda, musica e design. Negli ultimi anni l'universo creativo islandese é fiorito in un vero conubbio di nuove imprese creative motivate a farsi conoscere oltre confine.

Desidero condividere con voi una piccola selezione di abiti dei più interessanti stilisti che hanno partecipato al festival.
