for.me SS13 - preshow

Friday 21 September 2012

My fashion week has started with a lil drama. The weather forecast has the predicted rain, which has struck abundant throughout the whole Elena Mirò fashion show.
But a real fashionista always carry with her a spare pair of shoes, right? (or is it just me walking in heels with ballerinas in her bag?).

Today I am working at a fantastic project: keep a diary of what happens behind the scenes of the Elena Miro’s fashion show.
Because we are used to see models and beautiful clothes on the catwalks, journalists comfortable relaxed in their assigned seats, but what goes on behind those black tents? I want to find out more and report it for you!

For.me by Elena Mirò

ORE 9:30
Make-up: nude look, toni neutri, labbra appena accennate, molto mascara, effetto quasi acqua e sapone.

9:30 AM
When I arrive, the models are having their make-up done, hair and are wearing robes.
Make-up: nude look, neutral tones, lips barely colored, lots of mascara.
Hair: straight, pulled back in a simple high ponytail
Everyone looks happy despite a hectic time but everyone is ready.
All…who? Two girls for each of the model helping her to get dressed.
The seamstresses are putting the finishing touches on edges and split.

ORE 10:00

10:00 AM
I'm so excited, I am trying to capture every moment and situation. Like the model typing on her iPhone, the make-up artist that applies more concealer, the show coordinator keeping everything under control. And then, here are Elena Miroglio talking to the models and the press. The press is everywhere with photographers, cameramen, journalists, bloggers.

The show is about to start but stay tuned, I will tell you more on the next post!!
