50 shades of blue

Pardon my hair. Sometimes I just forget to style them and this is the result, witches-look-a-like!

A friend of mine asked if I was wearing all these tones of blue in honor of my son (yes! We are having a boy!).

How do you feel about coloured shoes?
I tend to wear coloured footwear mostly in Spring/Summer, and they are mainly sandals.
But I have to admit a splash of colour can add a fantastic touch to any (darker and Winter) outfit.
I should be more adventurous with shades! What do you think?

We are house hunting and I cannot help but dreaming to find the perfect, cosy,

adorable home for us.

 

I am dreaming of a work room for myself only, with a desk for my papers and pc

[I am lucky to do home office], and another big desk for my DIY, sewing, painting and decorating works. Oh, and I want a HUGE book shelf storagas I have plenty of books

[now stuffed in every corner of the house].

Do you wear white in Winter?

I don't but in the past couple of years I fell in love for this colour.

I may reconsider my fashion statement and start wear something immaculate instead of dark, borings shades.

I was looking for an incredible pair of shoes for my wedding and this was one of my favourite choice.

But as I got married in July and temperatures would be quite high here in Italy, I thought a pair of rubber shoes would not be so comfortable to be wear all day.

Neverthless, they are amazing! Don't you think?

What about a touch of yellow and mustard to your winter wardrobe?
You know I am not a big fan of black, although you can escape it. This is why I am trying to wear at list one bright colour on my outfit.

L'amore non é un serpente

If you have been follow me, you know I am not a fan of animal print.
But I have to admit that certain patterns are rather pretty. The point is I am afraid of looking too aggressive. Being a big girl as well, animal prints can be ‘dangerous’ if not appropriate matched and balanced with the rest of the outfit.
A few days ago I fallen for a snakeskin print blouse and I’ve decided, with not much consideration, to give it a go! So I’ve bought it.
Since then, I found myself getting crazy of snakeskin prints.
Here are some pieces I have my eye fixed on….


Se mi seguite da un po’, saprete già che non sono una grande amante del maculato.
Anche se devo ammettere che alcune digressioni sono proprio carine. Il mio problema è che ho paura di sembrare agressiva indossando il maculato. Essendo anche una donna alta e formosa, sono titubante che questa fantasia attiri troppo l’attenzione e risulti volgare se non ben bilanciata con gli accessori e il resto del look.
Alcuni giorni fa mi sono innamorata di una camicetta stampata serpente ed ho deciso, senza tanto pensarci su, di comprarla.
Da quel momento, sono impazzita per le stampe serpente.

Yellow is for Spring

Ogni anno in questo periodo mi faccio la stessa domanda:
Sta arrivando la primavera ma ho già così tanti vestiti che quest’anno non dovrei proprio comprare niente.
Si, ok. Questa é l’idea, la realtà invece é che mi piace essere alla moda e seguire le tendenze, almeno con qualche capo chiave.
La mia scelta cade sempre su quei marchi che indosso con piacere perché mi fanno sentire comoda, bella e unica.
Ma come giustifico la spesa extra considerando che il mio guardaroba é già strapieno?
Semplice! Tra qualche giorno é la festa della donna, e io sono una donna!
Ecco si, mi devo proprio fare un regalo!

Girando per negozi vedo ancora i saldi, maglioni di lana, gli ultimi capi in stock, ma io ho voglia di nuovo e di primavera.
Vabbé, credo che sceglierò un altro approccio, sfoglio il catalogo Primavera de La Redoute che mi é appena arrivato.
Tanto sono sicura che troverò i capi che piacciono a me: con dei tessuti belli e pratici, linee uniche e per tutte le taglie e soprattutto, le ultime tendenze.
Ho deciso, é la festa della donna e quale colore meglio simboleggia questa ricorrenza e la Primavera? Il Giallo!
Il servizio di consegna de La Redoute é veloce e preciso, non ho mai avuto problemi, le taglie sono sempre perfette (bisogna misurarsi però!) , insomma, devo fare subito l’ordine on-line così da sfoggiare presto un capo o un accessorio giallo.

Difficile scegliere, e qui ho selezionato alcune cose che mi piacciono.
Credo li abbinerò con dei colori decisi come il blu o il rosa, perchè adoro gli accostamenti forti e improbabili, il colour block appunto.

Direi quindi che un paio di capi dai colori vivaci potrei anche aggiungerli, già che devo fare l’ordine...
Blu o rosa? Blu la metterei in ufficio, la versione rosa la potrei mettere per una serata con Lui...
Mi piacciono questi tessuti così diversi tra loro che in abbinamento creano stili unici. Il cotone col tessuto velato o la pelle, c’è davvero da sbizzarrirsi.

Prossimo passo? Fare spazio nell’armadio per far entrare la primavera!







Every year, when Spring is about to bloom, I ask myself the same question:
I should buy something new, but I have so many clothes that I really shouldn’t buy anything.
Yeah, ok. This is the idea. However I like to be stylish and follow the trends, at least with key pieces.
My choice always fell for those brands that make me feel comfortable, beautiful and unique with their clothes.
But how to justify the extra expense considering that my wardrobe is already packed?
Easy! In a few days is Women’s day, and I am a WOMAN!
That's it, I just have to indulge myself in some shopping!

Walking around I still see sales: woolen sweaters, the last items in stock, but I am looking for the new collection and Spring clothes.
Okay, I'll choose another way, I’ll browse La Redoute Spring’s catalogue which I have just received.
I am sure I’ll find something I’d like: beautiful and nice fabrics, unique designers for all sizes and shapes and the latest trends.
I’ve decided, is Women's Day and what is the most suitable colour for this celebration and Spring? Yellow!

Hard to choose, and these are some clothes that are certainly going to mine.
