Ho partecipato ad un casting di modelle per ragazze floride! Beh, diciamo che ero ospite, si, insomma, non ho velleità di sfilare o essere la prossima Naomi...
Ho documentato ed assaportato il magico mondo delle selezioni per uno dei lavori più ambiti al giorno d’oggi.
Voglio quindi parlarvi delle mie sensazioni ad un casting di modelle, il primo per me, un vero tripudio di apettative, un elogio alla femminilità, visi sorridenti, un po’ di tensione ma tanto entusiasmo.
Queste ragazzotte esprimono gioia, solarità, sono femminili, talvolta un po’ traballanti sui tacchi e timide davanti alla macchina fotografica. Ma questo é solo l’inizio!
Infatti, questo é il primo step di una selezione di modelle taglia 46-48 che potrebbero sfilare per Elena Mirò a Milano Moda Donna e non solo. Dopo una candidatura via web nel sito dell’agenzia ‘Ciao Magre’, il giorno del casting é tutto dedicato al fitting, al trucco, ai capelli, alle foto e al portamento con tanto di red carpet per simulare una vera e proprio sfilata.
Beh, vi dirò che sono stata molto tentata, in un momento un po’ tranquillo, di ancheggiare su quella passerella per capire le emozioni che provano le modelle. Perché siamo abituate a vedere sfilare le modelle, camminare leggiadramente avvolte in splendidi abiti ma non ci rendiamo conto del grande lavoro e della grande professionalità che c’é dietro ad un evento come una sfilata.
Bisogna imparare a camminare in un certo modo, non fare smorfie, posare senza sembrare goffe, stare attente all’espressione del viso....insomma, un lavoraccio! Ma al casting in tutto questo c’era il supporto di due modelle, anche loro selezionate qualche anno fa in questo casting, Valentina Beltrami e Laura Brioschi, bellissime, professionali, alte e molto simpatiche (ma perché mi sono fatta fotografare con loro che poi sembro brutta a loro confronto?).
Le ragazze sono ora in trepida attesa dei risultati finali e lo sono anche io! Si perché questa atmosfera modaiola e glamour ha colpito anche me! Vi do quindi appuntamento alla sfilata di Settembre, dove magari vedrò sfilare proprio una di loro!
Intanto, schiena dritta, braccia che oscillano dolcemente lungo il corpo, sorriso, destra-sinistra-destra, mezza piroetta e oplà! Me ne torno in camerino!

I just want to share with you my feelings for the magic process of models selections’ for one of the most coveted jobs today.
So I want to tell you about my feelings to a casting of models, the first for me, a veritable feast of weren't, a tribute to femininity, smiling faces, a little tension but much enthusiasm.
These gals are pure joy, sunshine, they are feminine, sometimes a bit wobbly on the heels and shy in front of the camera. And this is only the beginning!
In fact, this is the first step of a selection of models italian size 46-48, that may hit the runway at the next Milan Fashion Week in Milan for Elena Mirò! They also be involved in many other promotions and fashion acivities.
After applying through the Ciao Magre web site [literally ‘Hello Skinny’] a selected number will attend the casting which is totally dedicated to fitting, make-up, hair, photoshoots and gait, with a prepoer red carpet simulation!
Let me tell you my dear readers, that at one point I was very tempted, to wiggle on the catwalk to place myself in the model’s situation and kind of feel their emotions. We're used to see models walking gracefully wrapped in beautiful dresses, but we do not realize the hard work that’s involve to become a proper model and walk the runway. Models must learn to walk in a certain way, no grimacing, don’t pose awkwardly, carefull facial expression.... well, it’s a lot of work! To help the candidates tips and tricks, two models (Valentina Beltrami e Laura Brioschi also selected a few years ago trough Ciao magre) extremely beautiful, professional, omg -tall and very funny (how silly I was to make a picture with them....I so look ugly compared with them!).
The girls are now waiting the final results and so am I! Because this fashionable and glamorous surrounding has affected my mood too! Let’s book your agenda for September and we would see the next (big) models!
Meanwhile, straight your back, arms swinging gently along the body, smile, right-left-right, half pirouette et voilà! I'm going back to the dressing room!
