Royal Ascot Ladies Day

Ascot racing is a fantastic day out for ladies (and gents) and certainly in June the racecourse pulls out all the stops to impress. The Royal meeting attracts the very best in fashion, horses, trainers and quality of racegoers alike.

The Royal Ascot race meeting is without doubt one of the most glamorous events held anywhere in the world.

Hats, fashinators and unique outfits are the most admired things after the race itself. This is my selection of some of the most crazy outfits!

A two-day event on fashion, cool brands and workshops on communication, photography and design, this is FASHIONCAMP. I've attended on Fri afternoon and had an interesting time meeting other nice bloggers, chatting with fashion designers and learn more about fashion.

Due giorni di moda, nuovi marchi, corsi si comunicazione, fotografia e design, questo é FASHIONCAMP. Ho trascorso un venerdì pomeriggio davvero interessante ed é stato bello incontrare altre bloggers, chiacchierare con stiliste e creative e imparare qualcosa in più sulla moda.

Rain+Sun= wardrobe challenging

In my handbag I am currently carrying sun tan lotion and sunglasses..alongside an umbrella and scarf!
With such unpredictable weather deciding what to wear every morning has become really challenging!

How do you cope with such unpredictable weather? Layering? Any key item?

Nella mia borsa ci sono latte solare e occhiali da sole....nonché l'ombrello e una pashmina!
Con il tempo 'matto' di questi giorni decidere cosa mettere la mattina é una vera sfida!

Come affrontate questi repentini cambi di meteo? Vestendovi a cipolla? Indossando un capo 'magico'?

OOTD: Favourite piece on a budget

It may not be a designer piece
it may not be from the latest trends
it is simple and somehow classic
But I love it!!!

(btw, it fits me perfectly!)

Although in these pictures I am wearing it with flats, I do match it with blue or camel high heels boots or neutral wedges.
Same with cardi: blue or neutral. And always with golden jewelleries.

In queste foto lo indosso con le ballerina, ma spesso lo porto con stivali blue o beige o con zeppe color sabbia.
Stessa cosa per il cardigan: blue o sabbia e sempre con gioielli dorati.

Behind the scenes

Did I tell you how much fun I had at the Elena Mirò shooting?
It was so nice to have someone dressing you up, teach you how to move and what to do (I felt like a real princess!). I had an entire rack of clothes to try and piece to mix&match.
I swear, I was exausted afterwards! Along the shooting we have to move around the shop as it was Saturday afternoon and packed with customers. You know, with all that getting dressed and undressed, go up and down the stairs, turn left, move right - I really appreciate models' work!

Vi ho raccontato quanto mi sono divertita durante il servizio fotografico da Elena Mirò?
Era così bello avere qualcuno che mi aiutava a vestirmi, mi diceva come posare e cosa fare (mi sentivo una vera principessa!). Avevo una fila infinita di vestiti da provare e capi da scegliere e combinare tra loro. Durante gli scatti ci siamo spostate più volte in giro per il negozio; essendo sabato pomeriggio era pieno di clienti. Beh, con tutto quello spogliarsi, vestirsi, andare su e giù per le scale, girarsi più a sinistra, muoversi a destra - adesso comprendo di più il lavoro delle modelle.

Righe, righe righe

It is my believe that horizontal stripes make curvy ladies looking bigger.
(I personally do not have ANY single striped garment in my closet!

But while surfing the net, I spot this curvy lady that made me questioning my belief.

She looks amazing in stripes and not big.


What’re your opinions on stripes+curvy?
















Sono convinta che le righe orizzontali facciano sembrare una donna con le curve ancora più tonda.

(non c’é un solo capo a righe nel mio guardaroba!)

Ma mentre navigavo mi sono imbattuta nella donna con le curve (della foto precedente) che mi ha fatto un po’ ricredere.

É stupenda col vestito a righe che non sembra ingrossarla per niente.


Cosa ne pensate di righe+rotondità?
